X FACTOR to Eliminate 5 of Remaining 17 Contestants on Tonights Live Show!

According to an X FACTOR Twitter post from last night, the competition will eliminate 5 of it's remaining 17 contestants on tonight's first live show.  '"Breaking news!" the show tweeted Sunday evening. "5 of the 17 acts will be eliminated by the judges on 10/25. Find who's out at 8/7C on FOX!"

According to the posting, almost a third of the contestants will be gone by the end of tonight's live show.  The 17 artists who currently remain are to perform live on stage in front of a studio audience. Following all their performances, the judges will eliminate five of the acts.

The remaining 12 performers will then perform on the next  live show on Wednesday, November 2nd. At that time, America's vote will determine who will be eliminated.  That announcement will be made on Thursday, November 3rd.
