Woody Harrelson is in talks to star in Fruit Loops, according to Deadline.
The Fox 2000 and Chernin Entertainment.drama will be written and directed by Ted Melfi.
The film is said to be similar to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and was one of the biggest 2016 pitch deals. Fox 2000's Elizabeth Gabler paid seven figures for the pitch, beating out three other studios.
This will be Melfi's third collaboration with Chernin Entertainment, which also produced his feature debut, St. Vincent. Fruit Loops will be Melfi's next film as director. He is also set to direct Harry's All Night Hamburgers at Warner Bros down the line.
Harrelson could recently be seen in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Solo: A Star Wars Story and the Sony hit Venom. Upcoming, he stars in The Highwaymen with Kevin Costner, Zombieland: Double Tap and the Roland Emmerich-directed Midway.
