'Wisdomkeepers, Paqo Andino' to Debut in Arizona with Screenings and Workshops in Sedona, Phoenix and Flagstaff

"Wisdomkeepers, Paqo Andino,"(http://www.paqoandino.com) an inspirational, emotionally intimate documentary exploring the spirituality and heart-centered, celestially-guided life ways of the Altomisayoqs of the Andean Holy Mountain Tradition of Peru, is set to debut in select Arizona cities April 27-May 4, 2014.

Filmed entirely on location in the high mountains of Peru, this unprecedented motion picture takes viewers on a journey into the heart of an ancient earthkeeping culture to discover a way of life both practical and mystical. It presents universally applicable insights into a state of being based on loving kindness, Unconditional reciprocity, sustainability and the sanctity of daily life.

Like the groundbreaking films "Koyaanisqatsi" and "Baraka," "Wisdomkeepers, Paqo Andino" is non-narrated. Viewers receive a direct, unmediated experience of living with the Altomisayoqs (or Paqos), one of our planet's last remaining uninterrupted indigenous wisdom lineages, witnessing their heart-based intelligence and being touched by their active, reciprocal relationships with all aspects of the natural world.

The experience is energetic, powerful, immensely moving and visually stunning.

Arizona screenings include:

• Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29 at the Storm Wisdom Center, Phoenix. 7:00 pm nightly.
• Friday, May 2 at 7 Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona (2115 Mountain Road, Sedona AZ 86336). 6:30 pm.
• Sunday, May 4 at the Coconino Center for the Arts, Flagstaff. 2:00 pm

In addition, "Wisdomkeepers" will screen Sunday, April 27, 7:30 pm in Sedona as an adjunct offering to Greg Braden's Gift in the Shift Conference at the Sedona Creative Life Center. That screening is also open to the public.

Filmmaker Jeffrey Wium, a Western-born Paqo initiated in the Andean Holy Mountain Tradition following years of study in Peru, will be on hand to introduce the film and lead a post-screening interactive program and discussion at all Arizona screenings.

Raised in the United States, Wium's life studies, apprenticeships and spiritual exploration have taken him across five continents and multiple traditions. He draws upon nearly three decades of professional experience in a wide range of photography, video, film and multimedia projects that provided first-hand knowledge of world traditions, cultural ideologies and perceptual realities.

Of "Wisdomkeepers, Paqo Andino," Wium notes "The film's inspiration, coordination and production has been one of deep faith, listening and inter-cultural / inter-dimensional integration into an ancient way of being, a personal and professional paradigm rooted in our natural, unified state of reality and 'ayni', or Unconditional right relationship.

"The word Paqo means 'gate,'" he added. "And that is the role of the Paqo, to hold open the gate for others to connect through a lineage that is still intact."

For those interested in delving more deeply into the experience and transmissions of the film, Wium will present a one-day workshop in Sedona on Saturday, May 3, 2014 (10 am - 5 pm) at 7 Centers Yoga Arts to both explore the mysteries of the ancient lineage and to help participants connect to and integrate aspects of the wisdom and ceremony of the Paqos into their daily lives.
