Will ABC Bring Back LOST?

According to E!, ABC may decide to reboot LOST in the future. LOST was a popular television show that premiered in 2004 and ended in 2010. If rumors are true and ABC is desperate enough to boost its ratings, they may decide to bring back the series either as a spin-off or in some other form.

Lost co-creater Damon Lindelof commented, "I think we told our story, you know. We put so much energy into ending it, that to put energy into kickstarting it again, you know...The show, I felt like it had a very successful life. Maybe it lived a little too long, but I never felt like it didn't live long enough. So I feel like there will be more, but it won't be made by us."

However, Lindelof doesn't completely crush the idea. He stated, "I think there will be more LOST. But I don't think it's gonna come from us. My guess is that some other creative team will come in and take their creative spin on this content, which is really exciting."

The creatives have received many questions since the finale episode, asking them to explain the remaining mysteries. It's possible that these mysteries are what could be used to revive the series. However, it may not do justice to the show itself. Lindelof stated, "The show lived with questions, it died with questions, and I'm happy to have questions be the legacy."

About the Show: From the mind of celebrated television producer J.J. Abrams, LOST follows a group of plane crash survivors as they struggle to persevere on a supernatural, mysterious island in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean.The survivors featured on LOST include a diverse group of people from different walks of life - a doctor, an escaped fugitive, a con man, an Iraqi interrogator, a married Korean couple and a man formerly confined to a wheelchair who is inexplicably healed. As the castaways attempt to get home, flashbacks (and forwards) illuminate their troubled lives before and after the crash, as the island they find themselves Stranded on begins to slowly reveal its mysterious nature. The island holds many secrets, including a mysterious smoke monster, polar bears, hatches with electricity and hot & cold running water, a group of island residents known as "The Others," and a mysterious man named Jacob. Faith, reason, destiny and free will all clash as the island offers opportunities for both corruption and redemption ... but as to its true purpose? That's the greatest mystery of all.
