The film follows a struggling comedy writer who moves back to Sacramento to aid his dying mother. Written and directed by Chris Kelly (who is best known for his work on SNL and Broad City) OTHER PEOPLE will be releasing in theaters on September 9th via Vertical Entertainment.

OTHER PEOPLE world premiered as the opening night film at this year's Sundance Film Festival and will be screening as the closing night gala at the LGBT Film Festival OUTFEST on July17th. The film features an especially stunning performance by Molly Shannon, who brings real heart to her role as the ailing mother Joanne, showcasing an unwavering strength in spirit despite her body continuing to fail her.
