One of the National Football League's ascending young stars on the field and a colorful personality in front of the camera, Washington Redskins All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman joins Fox Sports as an on-air contributor for the 2016 season. The announcement was made Monday by Fox Sports President of Production & Executive Producer, John Entz.
In his recurring role, Norman splits appearances between FOX NFL KICKOFF (11:00 AM ET) and the No. 1-rated, award-winning FOX NFL SUNDAY (12:00 PM ET) pregame shows, participating in talkbacks via satellite, pre-packaged features shot during the practice week and also serves as an analyst in the Los Angeles studio on Sunday, Nov. 6, during Washington's Week 9 bye. "We've gotten to know Josh over the last couple of years and when we talked about what this might look like, we felt it was a really unique opportunity to team up with him and create something different for the audience on Sunday mornings," Entz said. "He is a really dynamic, interesting guy and we're looking forward to integrating him in a variety of ways with both of our shows." Originally a fifth-round draft choice of the Carolina Panthers, Norman has developed into one of the NFL's top cover men since entering the league in 2012. Emerging as a true shutdown corner, he enjoyed a breakout season in 2015 as an integral part of an opportunistic Carolina defense that led the NFL in takeaways. Norman helped the Panthers to a victory in the NFC Championship Game and a berth in SUPER BOWL 50, while individually earning prestigious first-team All-Pro acclaim from both the Associated Press and the Pro Football Writers Association, in addition to being named to his first Pro Bowl. He signed with the Redskins as a free agent this past April.Videos
