World Series of Fighting makes its NBC debut this Saturday, July 5, at 4 p.m. ET highlighted by the lightweight title fight between defending champion Justin Gaethje (11-0-0) and fellow undefeated lightweight "Notorious" Nick Newell (11-0-0). Newell, who fights with one fully-developed arm due to a birth condition known as congenital amputation, has won 10 of his 11 of his MMA career bouts in the first round, while Gaethje has won nine of his 11 professional fights by knockout.
The co-main event features UFC veteran Jon Fitch (25-6) facing submission specialist Dennis Hallman (53-14-2, 41 win by submission) in the welterweight division. Saturday's card also features bouts between Cody Bollinger (15-2) and Pablo "The Hurricane" Alfonso (9-6) in the bantamweight division and Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante (18-7) vs. knockout artist and UFC veteran Melvin Guillard (31-13-2, 20 wins by knockout) in the lightweight division.
