WOMEN'S CONCERT FOR CHANGE Wins 2nd Hour for NBC

"The Women's Concert for Change: Live from London" (0.8/2 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for its second hour from 10-11 p.m. among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, as well as men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 25-54 (tie in each category); and adults and women 18-34. From its first hour to its second, the concert grew by 14 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.7). In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "The Women's Concert for Change" tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 1.0 rating for the concert and CBS's "Mentalist" encore).

"The Women's Concert for Change: Live from London," a concert event from Twickenham Stadium in London, is the centerpiece of Chime for Change, a new campaign to promote female empowerment around the world by raising awareness and generating funding for education, health care and justice. Performers included Beyoncé, Ellie Golding, Florence + the Machine, Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, and Timbaland and presenters included Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Blake Lively, Gloria Steinem, Jada Pinkett-Smith, James Franco, Madonna, Salma Hayek Pinault and Zoe Saldana. Ben Affleck, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow were among those appearing in public service announcements during the telecast.
From 7-11 p.m., an encore telecast of "The Voice" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.5 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 100 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.4), 120 percent in women 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.5) and 167 percent in women 18-34 (0.8 vs. 0.3).
