Deadline reports that Peter Kosminsky, the director of WOLF HALL and THE STATE, is currently developing THE UNDECLARED WAR (wt), a cyber warfare drama for UK's Channel 4.
The project will be a ten-part series, with Kosminsky writing and directing the first three episodes as well as a the series finale. The drama will center on "the undeclared confrontation between the key state players in a present day Cold War." Kosminsky has previously helmed two feature films, Ralph Fiennes' Wuthering Heights for Paramount Pictures, and White Oleander, starring Michelle Pfeiffer.
WOLF HALL followed the meteoric rise of Cromwell in the Tudor court, from his lowly start as THE SON of a blacksmith. The series starred Tony winner Mark Rylance as the historical character Cromwell who took a large part in annulling Henry VIII's marriage to Catharine of Aragon, setting the king up with Anne Boleyn, Anne's execution and Henry's marriage to Jane Seymour.
