This season, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" will have given away more than $100 million in total winnings since its Syndicated debut in 2002. It will celebrate this remarkable milestone throughout the month of November with a series of specialty shows and giveaways, culminating with a commemorative show in which a favorite past contestant gets a second shot at winning $1 million.
Friday, Nov. 2: Mickey's 90th Anniversary Celebration
"Millionaire" will celebrate Mickey's 90th Anniversary with a special show featuring an appearance by none other than Mickey Mouse himself! There also will be additional commemorative contestant prizes given away during game play, including a limited edition $5,000 Mickey Swarovski® Crystal Disney Gift Card and a trip for two to New York City to experience Mickey: The True Original Exhibition, an interactive pop-up art experience honoring Mickey Mouse's 90th Anniversary. Coming to NYC for a limited time, the one-of-a-kind exhibition is an immersive art exhibit that celebrates 90 years of Mickey Mouse's heritage, status as a "true original," and his global impact on art and pop culture.
Monday, Nov. 5 - Friday, November 9: Victories for Veterans Week
Veteran service members from the U.S. Armed Forces will appear as contestants all week long, and the show will salute American heroes with the help of DAV, Disabled American Veterans, a nonprofit charity with more than 1 million members nationwide. For each contestant that reaches the $100,000 question during Victories for Veterans, "Millionaire" will honor him or her by making a $5,000 donation to DAV.
Monday, Nov. 11 - Friday, Nov. 16: Millionaire's $100 Million Week
Each day throughout the week, Millionaire will revisit a favorite past contestant with an exciting game play moment from "Millionaire's" 17-year Syndication run. One of these players will be randomly selected to come back for another shot at winning $1 million on Friday, Nov. 16, during a special commemorative show. In addition, the at-home grand prize winner of the Millionaire Celebration Sweepstakes will be announced on-air as the recipient of a magical DISNEY CRUISE LINE Vacation.
Now in its 17th season, the Emmy®-nominated "Millionaire" airs across the country weekdays in national syndication. It is taped in front of a live studio audience at Caesars Entertainment Studios in Las Vegas. Go to MillionaireTV.com for time and channel. James Rowley serves as executive producer.
