Zoe Lister Jones is abandoning Whitney for those with BETTER LIVES.
According to Deadline, Jones has officially signed on to co-star alongside James Van Der Beek and Kevin Connolly in CBS' upcoming pilot FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES.
The multi-camera project, from Dana Klein, will be directed by James Burrows and will be produced by 20th Century FOX TV and Kaplan Entertainment. The comedy follows a group of 30something friends who each think the other has a better life.
Lister will play "the competitive and narcissistic Kate, who is super successful at work but a mess in her dating life."
Connolly will play Van Der Beek's best friends, 'Bobby Lutz,' a gynecologist, father and loving husband. Lutz is described as "more of a girls' guy than a guys' guy" and "former nerd."
Van Der Beek will portray 'Will,' described as "a sarcastic gynecologist who expects the absolute worst from everyone after his (soon-to-be) ex-wife's infidelity."
