ABC's "Good Morning America Saturday" won its first-ever February sweeps with its best-ever sweeps performance in both Total Viewers (4.404 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.564 million), according to Nielsen Media Research. Despite airing against an Olympics-boosted NBC "Saturday Today," February 2014 marked "GMA Saturday's" 4th consecutive sweeps victory in Total Viewers and 3rd straight in Adults 25-54. "GMA Saturday" debuted in its current format in September 2004.
Competitively, "GMA Saturday" turned in its largest-ever sweeps margins in overall viewers and in the key adult news demo over CBS' "Saturday Early Show" (+2.384 million and +911,000, respectively). In addition, "GMA Saturday" outperformed NBC's "Saturday Today" (+294,000 and +42,000, respectively) by its biggest-ever February sweeps margins.
"Good Morning America Sunday" (1/30 - 2/26/14):
During the 2014 February sweep, "Good Morning America Sunday" saw its best-ever sweeps performance in both Total Viewers (4.120 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.419 million), according to Nielsen Media Research. "GMA-Sunday" debuted in its current format in September 2004.
Competitively, "GMA Sunday" trailed an Olympics-fueled NBC "Sunday Today" by 316,000 Total Viewers and by 145,000 Adults 25-54 to post its 2nd-closest February sweeps performance ever with the NBC program.
