WAYWARD: THE PRODIGAL SON to Be Released in Theaters 11/7

With the continual success of faith-based films, "Wayward" has been extremely well received in its advance screenings. The powerful message of redemption has touched the hearts of many viewers.

The advance screening in Irvine, California was great success. Part of the L.A. statistical market, the audience was made up of a broad spectrum of people from a variety of denominations as well as non-denominational Christians and others of differing beliefs. Notwithstanding the diverse crowd, almost all of the participants remained in their seats after the movie to participate in a discussion with the filmmaker Rob Diamond and several of his cast members.

The first question to Rob Diamond was this: "What inspired you to make this great film?" Rob Diamond responded by saying, "This is not my story but the Lord's story. I made it for him first, but this story is my story and everyone else's story as well. I know so many people who need this kind of love and hope."

Another person asked, "Were there any conversions on the set while making this film?" Rob Diamond answered this question by stating that the cast and crew were made up of people of all faiths and non-faiths and he did have some very meaningful discussions with some of the nonbelievers on the set while making the film.

An African-American woman told the audience how much she enjoyed the movie but, referring to a painting of Jesus Christ shown in the movie, asked Rob Diamond politely if he could be more sensitive to the idea that not all people believe Jesus was white. "I appreciate that feedback," said Diamond. "I will keep that in mind on my next film," he said.

Spencer Harden, a spokesperson for Cedar Fort Entertainment was on hand to discuss the national interest and wide-but-focused distribution of the movie.

"We are so delighted in the warm reception 'Wayward' is receiving among people of all faiths."

An Asian woman asked what they could do to get the word out to their congregations and others so this film can be seen by everyone.

When asked for whom he made the movie, filmmaker Rob Diamond said, "My Maker first and foremost. But I also made it for anyone who loves stories of redemption and for those seeking some hope and forgiveness in their lives or the people they cherish most who might be hurting inside."

Rob Diamond:

Award-winning director Rob Diamond has been working both sides of the camera for most of his 25-year career. He has appeared in numerous TV spots for such clients as Honda, Minute Maid and Coca-Cola. Rob has also starred in several independent films, including "The Face on the Barroom Floor" with the legendary film icon Mickey Rooney. He now stars as the ever-loving father, Rob McMillan, in "Wayward: The Prodigal Son," which he also wrote, produced and directed.

Rob will release another feature titled "The Last Straw," starring Corbin Bernsen, in November 2014.

Landon Henneman, The Wayward Son:

From an early age, Landon Henneman and his vivid imagination had him pretending to be the heroic characters from his favorite movies.

After HIGH SCHOOL Landon served a two-year mission for his church in Omaha, Nebraska, a time when he "grew up a bit." Upon his return he looked for work and education he could feel passionate about. He was reticent about pursuing the performing arts, but every time he watched an inspiring movie, his heart longed to be in it.

That's when he met filmmaker Rob Diamond. Rob had just begun another screenplay and told Landon he had the right look for the lead. Landon went to work, attending acting class several hours a week, learning all he could in order to win the role.

Rob did cast Landon as the lead in "Wayward: The Prodigal Son," a boon for both Landon and Rob.

Since filming "Wayward," Landon has appeared in several independent projects, and has just been cast in "Waffle Street" and "Under the Bed," which soon begin production.

Pam Eichner Portrays Unyielding Love:

In addition to her role as loving mother and supportive wife in "Wayward: The Prodigal Son," Pam is also delighted to play the spunky and self-centered mayor Carolina Kamagaki in the on-going "e-book experience," The 96th Annual Apple Valley Barn Dance from New York Times bestselling author Jason Wright.

Pam's diverse film credits include lead roles in "One Good Man," "The Letter Writer" and a featured role as Meryl Streep's friend in "Dark Matter." Eichner also boasts an extensive list of television commercials.

Her unique motherhood experience as the mother of two sets of twins has Eichner being sought for various national parenting and teaching conferences for her one-hour presentation, "Honk If One Of The Twins Falls Out."

Crystal Udy as the Unlikely Heroine:

Like her character in "Wayward: The Prodigal Son," Crystal Udy was raised on a small ranch. She always had a desire to pursue acting, but it wasn't until she enrolled in Acting 101 in college that she knew she loved it. Crystal married and had children, but the spark of desire to pursue acting never left her. Years later, when she was contacted by a talent agency, she didn't even know what an agent was!

In January 2013, Crystal's spark of desire burst into flames. Crystal landed her first lead role in the feature film, "Wayward: The Prodigal Son" and has since been cast in several short films, commercials, as well as an ongoing TV/Web series.

Blake Webb as the Bitter, Obedient One:

After a university marketing degree and three years behind a desk, Blake Webb realized it was time to chase his lifelong dream of becoming a film actor. Blake plays the obedient son, struggling with how to feel about his rebellious brother. "Wayward" is his second feature film, which allowed him to work with his acting coach, mentor and close friend, Rob Diamond.

Blake lives in LA where he is pursuing his newfound career.
