Vinyl Me, Please, "the best damn record club out there," launches the first limited edition 7" pressing of the first single from the series soundtrack of new HBO drama series VINYL
From executive producers Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter, VINYL is set in 1970s New York and is a ride through the sex-and drug- addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco and hip-hop seen through the eyes of a record label president. With three years of expertise in creating limited edition pressings to an international audience, Vinyl Me, Please will gift every single one of its members-only community of tastemakers and music super fans the exclusive record as a bonus to the usual monthly subscription. The single 'No Good' from Warner/Atlantic artist Kaleo will be sent with special packaging and aims to bring awareness to the show and its music focus.
The innovative marketing strategy to promote a TV series will see a collaborative partnership with Vinyl Me, Please to create engaging and compelling content in an authentic way to the target audience of music aficionados.
Matt Fiedler, Vinyl Me, Please said: 'The last ten years has seen continued growth in the vinyl record industry with 2016 set to show biggest unprecedented growth in the category in over 25 years. We are excited to support the new HBO series Vinyl with our tailored service to exclusively promote to our engaged members. This is set to be one of the many ways we will work with mainstream brands which demonstrates that vinyl is no longer just a niche but part of our day-to-day cultural cloth."
The series kicks off its ten-episode season on Sunday, February 14th with a pilot directed by Scorsese, from a story by Rich Cohen & Mick Jagger & Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter, and teleplay by Terence Winter and George Mastras.
