Kit Connor and Rachel Zegler stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday to discuss the new Broadway production of Romeo + Juliet, which just began previews at the Circle in the Square Theatre.
Zegler said director Sam Gold pitched this new, modern take on the Shakespeare tragedy to the performers as a "Troye Sivan music video....It's like a group of 20-something-year-olds who broke into the Circle in the Square on Broadway and have to get something off their chest," she explained.
Connor's Heartstopper co-star Joe Locke made his Broadway debut earlier this year in Sweeney Todd. For Broadway-related tips, Connor recalled that Locke gave him "a massive list of restaurants in New York" but "performance-wise, he gave me nothing." Watch the full interview!
