TEXAS METAL follows their work as they make the ordinary extraordinary using everything from rusted out wrecks to top of the line vehicles including a 1955 Chevy Truck, a 2014 Porsche 911, a 1967 Lincoln Continental, a 1966 Chevrolet C10 and more. TEXAS METAL world premieres Tuesday, November 7 at 10 PM ET/PT only on Velocity. Check out a first look below:
"We've learned from our hit series IRON RESURRECTION that Texas isn't just rich with oil - it's full of innovative, skilled experts who know how to build trucks and build them big," said Robert S. Scanlon, president of Velocity and TEN video content. "TEXAS METAL has all of those ingredients and delivers process, which is something that is extremely important to our audience. We're excited to welcome Bill and the Ekstensive team to Velocity and can't wait for viewers to see the incredible, detailed full-service work they do."
Bill Carlton is a third-generation welder. His father purchased the property where Extensive Metals Works now sits 40 years ago and it's where Bill grew up building cars including his first out of a small shop on the property. Now in that same spot in north Houston, Ekstensive cranks out wild, top-notch customizations that are the envy of car lovers everywhere.
TEXAS METAL revvs up in the series premiere featuring a brand new 2017 Ford 350 with less than 600 miles and a 2014 Porsche 911 looking for extreme customizations. In true Ekstensive fashion, Bill and his team replace original factory parts in each ride with custom fabricated bodywork and intricately welded structural for their very own custom touch. This season, TEXAS METAL also customizes a 1961 Cadillac DeVille, a 2006 Chevy Kodiak, a 1963 Grumman Delivery Truck and more amazing builds.
TEXAS METAL is produced for Velocity by Sonar Entertainment. For Sonar Entertainment, Dan Miller and Patrick Myatt is executive producers. For Velocity, Joshua C. Berkley is executive producer and Robert S. Scanlon, president of Velocity and TEN video content.
