Celebrated actress Vanessa Redgrave will take a break from acting in order to spend more time with her family, contactmusic.com reports.

Redgrave's daughter, Natasha Richardson, died following a skiing accident in March 2009; her brother Corin Redgrave and sister Lynn Redgrave both passed away this year. Because of her recent bereavements, Redgrave wishes for time to "take stock," Contact Music reported.  She plans to spend more time with her daughter, Joely Richardson, and not to appear in more films in the near future. "I'm glad not to work for a while because I want to take time to think and to read and to garden and see my daughter and be with my grandchildren," says Redgrave.

Vanessa Redgrave is a celebrated actress who has won Oscar, Emmy, Tony, Cannes, Golden Globe and the Screen Actors Guild awards.  Her films include 'Julia,' 'Isadora,' and 'Mary, Queen of Scots.'  Her Broadway credits include THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING and LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT.
