Vanessa King and Miranda Sajdak's Pilot TWO ROADS Starring Jennifer Bareilles is Available Now on PlayStation Image

Vanessa King and Miranda Sajdak were recently selected as one of PlayStation Emerging Filmmakers for their project TWO ROADS. The filmmakers were given the opportunity to create, write and produce a television pilot for PlayStation audiences, worldwide. The program was created as part of an initiative aimed at harnessing the creativity and diverse talent of budding filmmakers. TWO ROADS went live on Wednesday, August 29th and is available to stream completely free on all PlayStation platforms, and online at bit.ly/tworoadspilot

The pilot was casted and crewed following guidelines set by the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative. TWO ROADS features 8 of 11 characters who identify as one of the five under-represented groups in film and television; the pilot had an all-female creative team (King, Sajdak and director Ashton Avila) and a 50% female-identifying and inclusive crew. The pilot follows a family haunted by secrets of their past as they're forced into witness protection where they struggle to adapt to their new lives and new identities in a small town. The story is told from the perspective of the mother of the family who is played by actor Jennifer Bareilles (whose sister Sara is no stranger to Broadway). Bareilles has previously been recognized for her work in the NY Fringe Festival audience favorite MAYBE TOMORROW and can be seen on stage this fall in Playwright Horizon's THE THANKSGIVING PLAY, which runs Oct 12-Nov 25.

TWO ROADS was Executive Produced by Sony Interactive Entertainment, in collaboration with Ideas United and its creative collective We Make.
