VIDEO: Watch the Trailer for BEL CANTO Starring Julianne Moore

The first trailer for Bel Canto starring Julianne Moore has been released. The film follows the story of an opera singer caught in a hostage situation during a performance in South America.

The movie was adapted from the 2001 novel of the same name. The film also features Ken Watanabe as a Japanese industrialist who invites Moore's character to perform at his birthday celebration. The two grow closer throughout the events of the film.

Directed by Academy Award-nominated Paul Weitz, Bel Canto is set in the middle of a military dictatorship in South America.

Bel Canto is set to hit theaters September 14th.
