Fifty years after Motown revolutionized the music industry with its "Sound of Young America" and countless 1964 Billboard hits by Mary Wells, The Supremes and others, the smash Broadway hit MOTOWN THE MUSICAL was proud to sponsor 50 YEARS: THE BEATLES, a live, interactive multimedia event marking the 50th anniversary of the band's first American television appearance on CBS's "The Ed Sullivan Show." Acclaimed music producer Peter Asher, former model and wife of George Harrison Pattie Boyd, and founding Foreigner member Mick Jonesjoined Mason to discuss the Fab Four's rise to prominence.
50 YEARS: THE BEATLES was broadcast from the Ed Sullivan Theater on February 9, 50 years to the day of the historic telecast and in the legendary theater where the original Beatles broadcast happened.
