Actress Viola Davis stopped by CBS's THE TALK to discuss why she signed on to play Annalise Keating on "How to Get Away with Murder." Davis says, "I said the only way I will agree to do this show is if I can take my wig off, because it's my way of woman-ing up. It's my way of showing the true image of who we are as women."

Later, the Oscar nominated actress candidly talked about growing up in extreme poverty and her partnership with the "Hunger Is" initiative to eradicate childhood hunger. Davis says, "Growing up in abject poverty...no plumbing, no phone, a lot of time no hot water and no food. Most of the time I just remember going to school hungry...sometimes I'd jump in a dumpster for food...I stole a lot...I just couldn't get at the business of being me and just living in that level of shame was a huge part of my childhood."
