Tony Danza is a man of many talents. Not only does he act on stage and screen alike; he also sings and tap-dances, and even has a cheese shop. On this morning's TODAY he talked about his upcoming cabaret show at New York's 54 Below titled "Standards and Stories." He also recalls the time he impressed his mother by introducing her to Frank Sinatra. Check it out below!
On August 8th, Tony Danza will join the cast of White Rabbit Red Rabbit, the internationally-acclaimed play by Nassim Soleimanpour. White Rabbit Red Rabbit makes its New York Premiere in this limited engagement, playing Monday nights at Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd Street). Performances began on March 7.
Perhaps best known for his starring roles on two of television's most cherished and long-running series, "Taxi" and "Who's The Boss," Danza has also established himself as a Broadway star and a cabaret song and dance man. Danza most recently received rave reviews for his performance in the Broadway musical comedy, Honeymoon In Vegas. He has also starred on Broadway in the The Producers, A View from the Bridge, and opposite Kevin Spacey in The Iceman Cometh. Tony debuted his latest cabaret act, Standards & Stories, last year to a sold out audience at the world famous Carlyle Hotel in New York City.
