Media personality, actor and singer Regis Philbin is known for hosting talk and game shows since the 1960s. Sometimes called "the hardest working man in show business", he holds the Guinness World Record for the most time spent in front of a television camera. His trademarks include his excited manner, his Bronx accent, his wit, and irreverent ad-libs.
Philbin is most widely known as the host of the New York City-based nationally syndicated talk show Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee starting in 1988, which became Live! with Regis and Kelly starting in 2001 and continued until Philbin's departure in 2011.
Philbin has also hosted Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,[9] Million Dollar Password,[10] and the first season of America's Got Talent.
