Stephen Colbert was featured on last night's Season Finale of Jerry Seinfeld's COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE on Crackle.

During the episode, Colbert revealed that he had planned to bid farewell to his cheeky character he presented every night on his Comedy Central talk show. "I was ready to stop," Colbert told Seinfeld. "I was going to stop whether or not [I got the CBS gig] - the Letterman thing fell in my lap."

The two funny men also discussed a Seinfeld guest appearance on Colbert's new CBS show. "To do a guest appearance on your show, it's no f-ing fun," Seinfeld commented. "When I come on your show, I'm going to do a stand-up set. You know how long it's going to take me to put that together? So you cannot compare the pain in the ass of doing your show to the joy and pleasure of doing mine."

Colbert also revealed he had no interest in keeping up a late night feud with his compeitior Jimmy Fallon, as David Letterman and Jay Leno famously had. "I think nothing would be more boring than a late-night war," Colbert said.
