MTV's "Faking It" continues its second season tonight at 10:30 P.M. ET/PT with Emmy Nominee and "Orange Is The New Black" breakout star Laverne Cox. Cox will play Margot the director of Hester High's elite drama club who holds auditions for the next member. The competition heats up amongst friends as Karma (Katie Stevens), Lauren (Bailey De Young), and Shane (Michael Willett) show off their singing and dancing talents and compete for the one spot in the club.

"Faking It," a romantic comedy currently is airing its second season Tuesday nights at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. This season, everyone is faced with a dilemma that forces them to tell the truth or keep a secret. Best friends Amy (Rita Volk) and Karma (Katie Stevens) struggle with figuring out their relationship after Amy revealed her true feelings for Karma. Questions are answered - will Karma find out about Liam (Gregg Sulkin) and Amy's hook-up? What will happen to 'Karmy?' Will Liam and Karma get back together? What are Lauren's (Bailey De Young) pills for? Can Shane (Michael Willett) really be in a celibate relationship?

Laverne Cox will also play an integral part in MTV's "Look Different" week-long programming initiative across MTV, mtvU and LOGO TV that will shine a spotlight on the multi-year campaign's ever-important focus on anti-race, gender and LGBT bias. Prior to her appearance on "Faking It," Laverne will engage in a lively Twitter discussion on Tuesday, October 14 with multiple MTV and LOGO TV Twitter handles, including @MTV, @LookDifferent, @LogoTV, @MTVfakingit and @MTVact, at 1:00 p.m. ET for a 30-minute, no holds barred Q&A on her experiences and why living your truth is important.
Later in the week, MTV and LOGO TV will simultaneously premiere "Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word," on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted and executive produced by Cox, the one-hour documentary will take viewers inside the lives of seven transgender youth. Immediately following the documentary's premiere, Laverne Cox will host the one hour "Trans Forum" with SuChin Pak live on LOGO TV and MTV.com where she and the subjects of the documentary will discuss transgender issues as well as answer questions from a live audience and via social media.
"Faking It" was created by Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov. The series is Executive Produced by Carter Covington ("10 Things I Hate About You," "Greek" "Hart of Dixie"). "Faking It" stars Katie Stevens as "Karma" ("American Idol"), Rita Volk as "Amy," Gregg Sulkin as "Liam" ("Wizards of Waverly Place"), Michael Willett as "Shane" ("G.B.F.") and Bailey De Young as "Lauren" ("Bunheads").
