Phillip Phillips stopped by this morning's TODAY to talk about his latest album going platinum and shared his anxieties about doing interviews on national TV. "I'm nervous I'm going to say something crazy," admits the American Idol champ. Later, Phillips performs his hit single 'Gone Gone Gone' as part of the show's Toyota Summer Concert Series.

This summer, NBC's TODAY will once again put the rock in Rockefeller Plaza, bringing together the hottest hit-makers for its 19th annual summer concert series. There's no better way to officially kick off the summer season than with one of the best-selling female artists of all time, global superstarMariah Carey. The five-time Grammy award winner will heat up the plaza Friday, May 16. The "Toyota Concert Series on TODAY" will air live Friday mornings throughout the summer.
This year's line-up includes Usher and Maroon 5, veteran TODAY performers who bring massive crowds to the plaza.Powerhouse singer Jennifer Hudson also returns to TODAY, and "Happy" singer Pharrell Williams will perform his first-ever concert on Rockefeller Plaza. The 2014 series also features show favorites OneRepublic, Train and Jason Mraz, rock bands Neon Trees and Fall Out Boy, as well as singer-songwriters Sara Bareilles,Austin Mahone, Phillip Phillips and Ed Sheeran. Crowd-pleasers Ariana Grande andFifth Harmony are sure to wow the crowd with blow-out performances.
