Stephen Colbert is best known as the host, writer and executive producer of the long-running Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series "The Colbert Report" on Comedy Central. Colbert is also a best-selling author and accomplished actor.

"The Colbert Report" launched on October 17, 2005 and has garnered ratings and critical success as one of the top shows on television. The show received its second Peabody Award this year after first receiving the prestigious award in 2008. Since the shows inception, it has received 18 Primetime Emmy nominations and, in 2010, Colbert and his writing team won the show's second Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program.
