On December 6, 1967, acclaimed writer/director Judd Apatow was born in Syosset, New York. Throughout his career in Hollywood, Apatow has made a name for himself primarily for his comedic films, including THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, FUNNY PEOPLE, KNOCKED UP, and its upcoming sequel THIS IS 40.
Apatow is also the creator of the cult television series FREAKS AND GEEKS, UNDECLARED, and serves as executive producer on HBO's Lena Dunham-scripted GIRLS.
Apatow's creative works have won him many awards including a Primetime Emmy for THE Ben Stiller SHOW. In addition, he has been nominated for Grammy Awards, PGA Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Academy Awards (for BRIDESMAIDS). Apatow has also founded his own Production Company.
