Last year it hit the fan at Summer Jam 2012 when Nicki Minaj did not Go On stage to perform due to HOT 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg's comments right before the concert in the Festival Village. This morning Nicki came face to face with Peter Rosenberg at the Hot 97 studios for an up close and personal interview with radio personality Peter Rosenberg to discuss what went down and why. Check it out below!

The appearance comes right before the Summer Jam 20th Anniversary concert this Sunday- does this mean all is forgiven with Young Money and they will be performing?

A little refresher on what went down last year: Nicki Minaj was slated to hit the Summer Jam 2012 stage, when Hot 97 Host Peter Rosenberg made it known while speaking on the Festival Village stage AT SUMMER JAM that he was not a fan of Nikki's song "Starships," stating that he was here for "real hip-hop." He had forgotten that he was being live streamed at the time which was also hitting the Head Barb's website. When head of the Young Money label, Lil Wayne, got wind of this, he made the decision that no one from Young Money would be performing at the concert and Nicki with the others complied. Summer Jam is known for artists bringing out artists and Nicki was slated to bring out Lauren Hill who was instead
brought out on stage by Nas.

Only a few hours ago the popular female MC came face to face with Rosenberg stating that she "she should have performed in hindsight and not let down the fans" and about what was said last year that
she "can't pretend to care about it anymore". Rosenberg mentioned that no one ever mentions the good things and how years earlier he approached her and told her that he thought she could possibly be one of the greatest female MC's of all time. Nicki went on to explain that her song Starships sold over 7 million records and that she is an artist that likes to experiment. She stated that she was honored that Rosenberg thought of her as one of the greatest female rap MC's but she will continue to experiment with her music
because that's who she is and went on to speak about a new movie she is working on and more.

This comes right before next weekend's Summer Jam 2013 20th Anniversary concert which is expected to be the hottest yet with surprise guests.Does this mean Nicki and Young Money will be making a surprise appearance at the 20th Anniversary of Summer Jam, this Sunday, June 2nd 2013 at Metlife Stadium?
