Margherita and Danny Gardner will perform today at the final final presentation of 106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park' summer concert series. The 2015 program has presented the best of Broadway, FREE to the public, on six consecutive Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on the Bryant Park Stage. Today's line-up will also include performances from the casts of Daddy Long Legs, Once Upon a Mattress, and The King and I (Betsy Morgan, Jose Llana, Ruthie Ann Miles).
DAMES AT SEA will star John Bolton as The Captain/Hennesey, Mara Davi as Joan, Danny Gardneras Lucky, Eloise Kropp as Ruby, Laurence Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita as Mona Kent, andCary Tedder as Dick. The original 1968 production of Dames at Sealaunched the career of the young ingénue playing Ruby, Bernadette Peters.
DAMES AT SEA will set sail at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44 Street), beginning performances Thursday, September 24, 2015, with an opening night of Thursday, October 22, 2015. With a book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller, music by Jim Wise, and music supervision and vocal & dance arrangements by Emmy Award winner Rob Berman (Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Finian's Rainbow), Dames at Sea will be directed and choreographed by three time Tony Award nominee Randy Skinner (42nd Street, Irving Berlin's White Christmas).
