Yesterday, Donald Trump Jr. released emails in which he discussed a meeting he had last year with a Russian lawyer who, he was promised, had information that could damage Hillary Clinton and her run for the Presidency. Trump Jr. not only agreed to the meeting in the email exchange, but also said of the potential information, "I love it."

Late night hosts pounced on the breaking news, with Stephen Colbert issuing an apology to the President's other son, Eric, explaining, "We always thought you were the dumb one." Check out video from last night's late night shows below:

After Donald Trump Jr. releases an email exchange that shows him setting up a meeting with a Kremlin-linked lawyer, Trevor unpacks the first son's possible case of collusion.

In a bit aired on CONAN on TBS, host CONAN O'Brien got his hands on another high-quality recording of Trump and Putin on the phone.

Jimmy Kimmel addressed Donald Trump Jr.'s emails by having Kellyanne Conway stop by to clear the air

Over at THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT, on the heels of yesterday's big news about Donald Trump Jr., Stephen took a moment to issue an apology to Eric Trump, explaining "We always thought you were the dumb one."

Colbert explains: Unlike Watergate, it didn't require the services of a secret informant to uncover wrongdoing in Trump's administration. Just a son.

Then, Stephen broke down the implications of Donald Trump's emails with his weapon of mass clarification with the aid of the 'Figure-It-Out-A-Tron'

Later, no better voice could embody Trump's maniacal, power-hungry ranting tweets than 'War for the Planet of the Apes' star Andy Serkis' famous character.

Then, 'Morning Joe' co-host Joe Scarborough renounced his affiliation with the Republican Party after its members have refused to stand up to Donald Trump.
