Every year, thousands of fans of the iconic 1989 baseball film A FIELD OF DREAMS visit the actual playing field in Dyersville, Iowa, where the movie was filmed.
At a festival held at the site this past weekend to mark the film's 25th anniversary of the film, NBC's Bob Costas spoke with stars Kevin Costner Dwier Brown (John) and Timothy Busfield (who played Ray's brother-in-law, Mark) for a look back. Check out the clip below!
The 1989 fantasy-drama was directed by Phil Alden Robinson, who also wrote the screenplay, adapting W. P. Kinsella's novel Shoeless Joe. The film starred Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, James Earl Jones, Ray Liotta, and Burt Lancaster in his final film. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Original Score, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Picture.
