Season One AMERICAN IDOL champ Kelly Clarkson was not able to be attendance at last night's series finale due to the fact that she is about to give birth to her second child. However, the Grammy award winner did take the time to pre-record an amazing medley of her hits, including "Miss Independent", "Since U Been Gone", "Heartbeat Song," and "A Moment Like This," which aired during the show. Last night on AMERICAN IDOL, the lights were dimmed for a final time and host Ryan Seacrest made one last dream come true, as Trent Harmon, 25, from Amory, MS, was named the 15th and final AMERICAN IDOL in the history-making series finale live from Dolby Theatre. Harmon celebrated his win with an amazing performance of "Falling," which is available for download exclusively on americanidol.com and iTunes.
