Kathy Griffin announced last night on HBO's REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER that she will be performing at Carnegie Hall and KENNEDY Center soon. These are the comedian's first performances following the backlash she received for posing for a photo with a fake severed head made to look like Donald Trump.

"I'm dipping my toes into touring again even though the Trumps and nobody wants me to work again," she told Maher. "I just booked today, I'm going to do a show at Carnegie Hall in New York and I'm also going to go right to Trump's back yard and do a show at the KENNEDY Center."

Shortly after the appearance, Griffin took to Twitter to confirm the news.

Kathy Griffin is an American comedian and actress. She has starred in several comedy specials for cable TV and has released several comedy albums. In 2007 and 2008, Griffin won Primetime Emmy Awards for her reality show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. She has also appeared on TV and on film numerous times, mainly in supporting roles.

Real Time with Bill Maher is a talk show that airs weekly on HBO, hosted by comedian and political satirist Bill Maher. Much like his previous series Politically Incorrect on Comedy Central and later ABC, Real Time features a panel of guests who discuss current events in politics and the media. Unlike the previous show, guests are usually more well-versed in the subject matter: more experts such as journalists, professors and politicians participate in the panel, and fewer actors and celebrities are included. Additionally, many guests appear via satellite.

Real Time is a weekly hour-long program with a studio audience, airing live on Friday nights at 10:00 pm EST. It originates from Studio 33 ("The Bob Barker Studio") at CBS Television City in Los Angeles. In addition, a 10- to 15-minute "Overtime" segment quickly follows the show on Youtube (Live Streams) which answers questions posted by viewers through HBO's online website for the show. Prior to 2009, approximately 12 new weekly episodes aired from February to early May, followed by another such set of new episodes from late August to November. In 2009, the show began airing as one continuous season
