On last night's Creative Arts Emmys Awards, Julianne Hough confirmed to ET that she'll be returning to the DANCING WITH THE STARS judges panel for Season 23, premiering tonight at 8 pm/ET on ABC. Watch the interview below!
"I'm not going to be dancing, but I can finally announce that I am coming back on to judge," the 28-year-old actress told ET's Denny Directo. "I'm excited." Hough sat out Season 22 of the long running dance competition in order to star in FOX's GREASE LIVE in the role of Sandy. The live broadcast garnered 4 Emmys last year, including one for Outstanding Variety Special.
This season's "Dancing with the Stars" begins with an all-new exciting cast of celebrities who will brave the dance floor for the very first time. Each week these celebrities will leave their comfort zones and endure hours of grueling rehearsals to master technical choreography and entertaining performances. In the end, only one star will rise above the rest to be crowned champion and win the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
Hosted by Emmy Award-winning host Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos") and Erin Andrews (sports host and "Dancing with the Stars" Season 10 finalist), "Dancing with the Stars" is the hit series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts. The all-new season of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT).
