John Stamos will be featured in an article in People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive issue titled "How I Stay Sexy at 50." Today the Full House star spoke to TODAY's Matt Lauer about how he is able to maintain his youthful good lucks.
"I have good genes; I'm very lucky," he explained, joking "People magazine has been so good to me over my 78-year career. This year, they said, 'Let's have a sense of humor about it,' and I said, 'I'm in for that!'"
Commenting on his recent 50th birthday, Stamos said he wasn't really bothered by it but was in fact rather "excited about it. "Other than my father not being there, it was the greatest night of my life," he said. "Don Rickles came, Tom Jones sang, and the Beach Boys sang."
He added, "I started on 'General Hospital' when I was 18. I said, 'Dad, what do I do? Give me something.' And he said, 'You treat the janitor the same way you treat the producer,'" said Stamos. "And that's sort of what I've tried to do most of my career."
