Presenting a satirical look at the week in news, politics and current events, as well as addressing broader issues, the Emmy-winning LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER continues its fourth season SUNDAY, MARCH 5 (11:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Topics covered were the ongoing saga of Trump campaign associates meeting with Russian officials, accusations of Trump Tower being wiretapped by former President Obama, and Tibetan Buddhists suffering deep persecution by the Chinese government. John Oliver sits down with the Dalai Lama in India to discuss China, the conditions in Tibet, and horse milk.
The show is the only weekly news-oriented comedy series to be presented on Sunday night. Taped in New York a few hours before it debuts on HBO, the show features a mix of Oliver's topical commentary, pre-taped pieces and occasional guests.
