Presenting a satirical look at the week in news, politics and current events, as well as addressing broader issues, the Emmy®-winning LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER continues its fourth season SUNDAY, APRIL 9 (11:05-11:35 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. This week's topics include the varied media reactions on President Trump's missiles strike in Syria, the dropout of advertisers in the midst of sexual harassment allegations against Fox News and the effects of gerrymandering on voters.
The show is also available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and affiliate portals.
The show is the only weekly news-oriented comedy series to be presented on Sunday night. Taped in New York a few hours before it debuts on HBO, the show features a mix of Oliver's topical commentary, pre-taped pieces and occasional guests.
In 2016, LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER received three Primetime Emmys®, including Outstanding Variety Talk Series, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series and Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming.
