Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson joined other cast members from THE HUNGER GAMES film series for a public service announcement released on Monday about the EBOLA epidemic in West Africa. Watch the ad below
In the video, Lawrence reveals that many doctors in the region died while treating the disease. Says her 22-year-old co-star Josh Hutcherson of the victims, 'They didn't have a lot to begin with. Liberia has 50 doctors for 4.4 million people."
Liam Hemsworth also points out that only 20 percent of EBOLA patients in some parts of West AFRICA survive the disease. Toward the end of the PSA, the young stars share that their gratitude over living in a country where first-rate medical care is available. 'Know what would happen if you got ebola?' Hutcherson asks his co-star. 'I'd be fine,' replies the Oscar winner.
The video also included appearances from The Hunger Games stars Jeffrey Wright, Mahershala Ali and Julianne Moore.
