Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler stopped by CBS's THE TALK to open up about being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis between the third and fourth season of "The Sopranos" and why she came public about it now, after keeping it a secret for nearly fifteen years. Watch the appearance below!
Says Sigler, "I feel like I'm at a point of my life where the secret is no longer serving me....I wanted to quit everything...and my friends and my husband convinced me, 'no, continue your life'... It’s been overwhelming, the response of love that I've received and I'm already working now [on CBS's "CSI: Cyber"]. I feel really lucky and it's hard to say, 'I feel lucky' when I have MS, but I do."
Sharon Osbourne admits to Sigler, "It’s people like you that come out and say, 'look I have it, I can live a full, active life'...I didn't even know what it was when [son] Jack was diagnosed... there are so many millions of people who aren't educated to what it actually is, so the perception is 'oh well, cross them off the list.'" Sigler adds, "That's a honor that I’ve been able to have now to represent a group of people that are suffering in silence...I also don't feel so alone now because I feel like I'm a part of this community."
