Chelsea Handler takes on racism in her the latest trailer release for her Netflix Documentary Series, CHELSEA DOES. Chelsea Does... premieres January 23, only on Netflix. Get a first look below!
In Chelsea Does: Racism Handler explores a serious, hot-button topic the only way she knows how: by being outspoken and unwaveringly honest. Highlights include a roundtable discussion with experts from the NAACP, the Anti-Defamation League and other civil rights organizations; a sit-down conversation with Rev. Al Sharpton; a trip to a South Carolina plantation; and Handler's eye-opening journey to Israel where she has an intimate conversation with former president, Shimon Peres.
Directed by Oscar and Emmy-nominated Eddie Schmidt (This Film Is Not Yet Rated, Valentine Road) and executive produced by Schmidt, Handler and Oscar and Emmy award-winning Morgan Neville (20 Feet From Stardom, Best of Enemies), Chelsea Does is comprised of four revealing, funny and introspective films (Chelsea Does Marriage, Chelsea Does Racism, Chelsea Does Silicon Valley, Chelsea Does Drugs) featuring Handler exploring topics of personal and universal fascination, from marriage to drugs, to racism and Silicon Valley. With her unique voice and provocative point of view, Chelsea will be seen confronting the topics that connect humanity, having the hard conversations about things that are not easy to talk about, and calibrating and learning who she is along the way.
On Friday, January 22nd, Chelsea Does will make its world debut at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. All four films in the docu-series will launch exclusively on Netflix on Saturday, January 23rd.
