VIDEO: First Teaser Trailer for CARRIE Remake Released

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming remake of Stephen King's CARRIE, starring Julianne Moore and Chloe Moretz, has just been released. Check it out below!

Directed by Kimberly Pierce, Moretz will play Carrie (originally Sissy Spacek), and Gabriella Wilde will play Sue Snell (originated by Amy Irving) in the reboot. Kevin Misher produces and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa wrote the script.

The story is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name about a teenage girl dealing with everyday school life in the face of her overbearing, religious mother and burgeoning understanding of her telekinetic powers. The original film was directed by Brian DePalma and was recently translated for the Broadway stage.

The film will hit theaters on October 18, 2013.
