Jones co-wrote the script along with Kieran Fitzgerald and Wesley A. Oliver Jones. The story is based on a novel by Glendon Swarthout. Hilary Swank, Meryl Streep, James Spader, John Lithgow, Tim Blake Nelson, David Dencik, Hailee Steinfeld and Jesse Plemons co-star.
The Homesman follows an untrustworthy man and a spinster school teacher who join forces to bring three women considered to be crazy across the Western plains by ox-drawn wagon.
