Tom Hiddleston will take on the role of country music legend Hank Williams in Marc Abraham's I SAW THE LIGHT, set for a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.
The actor took to Twitter today to share a first look at a performance of Williams' "Move It On Over" from the film, along with the caption: "It gives me great pleasure to introduce the first clip from I SAW THE LIGHT. @TIFF_NET tomorrow! #MoveItOnOver". Check it out below!
I SAW THE LIGHT is directed by Marc Abraham from his screenplay which chronicles William's meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life. It is based on Colin Escott's award winning biography.

Denise Chamian is the casting director.
Hiddleston began his career in theatre. His stage credits include Donmar Warehouse's production of Othello, directed by Michael Grandage and acted alongside Ewan McGregor. Hiddleston has also appeared in the West End revival of Ivanov, The Children's Monologues at The Old Vic, Coriolanus and The KINGDOM of Earth at Criterion Theatre.
Hiddleston's film appearances include Thor, War Horse, The Avengers, The Deep Blue Sea, Midnight in Paris and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World. TV credits include Wallander, Suburban Shootout, Return to Cranford and more.
