VH1 scores a three-pointer, returning its hit scripted series HIT THE FLOOR for a third season of drama on Monday, January 18th at 10PM ET/PT. Check out the trailer below!
"The much anticipated season three premiere of VH1's hit series 'Hit The Floor' will deliver the fiery drama and plot twists that our audience loves," said Susan Levison, EVP of Programming & Development for VH1. "We want to thank the show's fans for their incredible support on social media for this exciting new chapter."
The series has pulled impressive ratings during the first two seasons, finishing as the #1 new scripted series of the summer on cable among Adults 18-49 in its debut season and as the #1 ad-supported scripted drama on cable among women 18-49 in Season 2. "Hit the Floor" has also been a magnet for fans on social platforms, consistently ranking amongst the Top 10 most social shows on TV Monday nights on Twitter.
Last season, the Devils won the Championship, but saw their owner Oscar Kinkade arrested for the murder of a Devil Girl. But there's another murderer still at large: Ahsha's long-time boyfriend German, who was revealed in Season Two's shocking finale to be Olivia Vincent's killer. Unaware of her boyfriend's deadly secret, Ahsha is reunited with him, but bad boy MVP Derek has vowed to get her back.
The Devils not only have a title, they have a new boss: Coach Pete's ex-wife Lionel. And she's going to make life hell for Pete and Sloane. But Sloane's not going down without a fight. Meanwhile Jelena, the mastermind who put Lionel in Oscar's chair, continues to pull the strings, all while tending to an injured Terrence, who gave everything to win the title.
Series regulars for season three include: Dean Cain, Kimberly Elise, Taylour Paige, Logan Browning, Valery Ortiz, Katherine Bailess, Jonathan McDaniel, McKinley Freeman, Rob Riley, Adam Senn, Brent Antonello, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe and Don Stark.
Guest stars include William Baldwin, Michael Beach, Jonathan Bennett, Andy Buckley, Francia Raisa, Kim Wayans, and the return of Lynn Whitfield.
Before Season three began production, the "Hit The Floor" family tragically lost Stephanie Moseley, who played Arelly, one of the Devil Girl dancers. To honor her memory and contribution to the series, the season three premiere will be dedicated to her and a new Devil Girl character has been named Stephanie.
"Hit the Floor," was created by James LaRosa who also serves as Executive Producer of the series. Bryan Johnson and The Film Syndicate are also executive producing. VH1 executives Susan Levison, Maggie Malina and Jill Holmes are Executive Producers on the project.
