According to The Hollywood Reporter, writer-director Trevor White's JAMSEY BOY was released on video on demand on January 3, 2014, and hits theaters a few weeks later, today, January 17th.
The film stars Tony Award winner Mary-Louise Parker, who recently appeared on Broadway in Sharr White's The Snow Geese. Check out an exclusive clip from the film below, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter!
James Woods and Ving Rhames also star in the real life saga of teenager James Burnes, described as "a young man who goes from suburban street gangs to a maximum-security prison surrounded by hardened criminals where he fosters an unlikely friendship with a convicted murderer (Rhames) who ends up becoming his mentor and ultimately defines and changes the course of his life."
Parker is best known for her role as cannabis-selling widow Nancy Botwin on Showtime's WEEDS. She can next be seen opposite Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren in RED 2, and Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in R.I.P.D.
