The very first trailer for the previously reported SHERLOCK special has just been released! PBS has also revealed the title, SHERLOCK: THE ABOMINABLE BRIDE, and will make its US premiere Friday, Jan 1, 2016, 9pm ET on MASTERPIECE on PBS. Check out the trailer below!
The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role and Rupert Graves as Inspector Lestrade. Co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, SHERLOCK follows SHERLOCK Holmes and Dr. John Watson's adventures in 21st Century London in "a thrilling, funny, fast-paced contemporary reimagining of the ARTHURCONAN Doyle classic".
The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated "Sherlock" has been a television sensation since the first season aired in 2010.
Cumberbatch also starred in Steven Spielberg's War Horse film adaptation and in 2011 alternated leads in Danny Boyle's production of FRANKENSTEIN and the Barbican's HAMLET. He can most recently be seen in J.J. Abrams' upcoming film STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS. His other theater credits include 'Hedda Gabler', for which he received an Olivier Award nomination.Videos
