VIDEO: Ellen DeGeneres Interviews Kevin Hart After Oscars Controversy

Ellen DeGeneres took to Twitter to announce that she will air an interview with Kevin Hart on her show on Friday, bumping up the air date.

In her tweet DeGeneres said, "I had an incredible and honest conversation with @KevinHart4real about hosting the #Oscars. It was supposed to air on Monday. I don't want you to have to wait, so now it's gonna air tomorrow."

Hart was offered the OSCARS hosting gig, but stepped down from after a controversy arose about past his past homophobic remarks on social media.

Ellen says that she believes in forgiveness and second chances. She even told Hart that she contacted the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in an effort to get him re-hired as host of the upcoming Oscars.
