VIDEO: Elle Fanning Performs Music by Robyn in the Trailer for TEEN SPIRIT

Bleecker Street has released the trailer for Teen Spirit, starring Elle Fanning. Watch the trailer below!

The film follows Violet (Fanning), a shy teenager living on the Isle of Wight who dreams of pop stardom as an escape from her dismal surroundings and SHATTERED family life. With the help of an unlikely mentor and would-be manager (Zlatko Buric), she enters an 'Idol'-ized international singing competition that will test her integrity, talent and ambition.

Teen Spirit also stars Rebecca Hall and Agnieszka Grochowska.

The Handmaid's Tale actor Max Minghella will make his directorial debut from a script he wrote for the film, which premiered at Toronto.

Fanning sings songs by the likes of Robyn, Ellie Goulding, Tegan & Sara, Annie Lennox and others, with additional music from Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, No Doubt, and more in the film.

La La Land's Fred Berger produces with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones from Automatik. Bleecker Street and LD Entertainment teamed up for U.S. distribution rights,

Teen Spirit will be released on April 5, 2019.
