Actor David Duchovny is best known for his TV series, Californication, which just ended its run on Showtime. Yet Rolling Stone has revealed an entirely new side of the 'X Files' actor - the guy can sing!
The site reports that with 12 demos already in the can, Duchovny is set to release his debut album in 2015. He describes his music as a combination of Wilco and R.E.M. "I'd put it somewhere in there - if I'm lucky," he told
Rolling Stone.
In addition, the talented star is currently working on a book, tiled Holy Cow, which may hit book shelves as early as next year. "It's a kids' book and an adult book," he told
Rolling Stone. "It's a fable, like Animal Farm or Charlotte's Web; an allegorical story using animals for people."
For now, you can check out Duchovny's vocal chops in the video in which he performs a cover of Hotel
California with
Marilyn Manson and ex-Eagles guitarist
Don Felder at the recent Californication's wrap party.
